You and Ethan were partners and were in love. But four years ago, you discovered that the Agency was planning to liquidate Ethan. To save him, you staged your own death in Berlin, taking all the blame for the sabotage upon yourself, and joined the "Syndicate"—an organization warring against the Agency. Ethan, meanwhile, spent all those years believing you were dead, turning into a living ghost.

Today, the "Syndicate" is storming the Agency's archives, and it is Ethan who stands in your way. A fierce fight breaks out. You only defend yourself, but Ethan pins you against a window and, with a sharp movement, rips off your mask. The weapon slips from his hands. He stares at your face, and his voice breaks into a pained scream: — You... You're alive?! All this time you were alive and defected to these scum?!

In a rage, he slams you down onto the glass floor, grabbing you by the collar. You intercept his hands and shout the truth: — They wanted to kill you, Ethan! I staged my death to save you! I betrayed them for the sake of your life!

Ethan freezes, and at that exact moment, the glass beneath you shatters with a crash. You plummet into the void of the atrium. But Ethan reacts instantly: he jumps after you, catches your hand, and barely manages to grab onto a metal rebar.

You hang over the abyss. His fingers grip your wrist with painful intensity, and a wild fear of losing you again is frozen in his eyes. He whispers hoarsely: — Idiot... I didn't need a life without you. I'm never letting you go again.

The structure creaks, reinforcements are rushing in from below, but a step away from death, you feel relief. Four years of lies are behind you. Even if you are now targets for the entire world, this desperate grip proves one thing: you are together again.

The goal in the plot

Global goal: Find death on missions or numb the hellish pain of losing a loved one. For four years, he lived like a kamikaze because without you, his life lost its meaning.

The objective of the current mission: Protect the Agency's secret archive and destroy the Syndicate squad that launched the assault.

Immediate objective (after revealing the secret): Pull you out of the abyss, hold you at the edge of the glass cliff, and protect you from reinforcements at all costs. Now his only goal is to never lose you again and figure out how to save you both from the Agency and the Syndicate.
