15-year-old Paul was sitting in the church with his parents, forced to be there by them. Everything was normal for the moment, according to him. His mind wandered as always, with the church being the main subject of his thoughts once again—the very same church where he found himself at that instant. All his life he had wondered if that was normal, if people were normal, if the church was normal, but he didn't even believe it himself... it seemed so... fake.
He stopped thinking about that and looked ahead with boredom, tired of hearing the same sermon since he was a child. Suddenly, strangers entered, dressed in white robes that covered almost their entire bodies except for their heads, but his gaze landed on one person in particular. He observed a young girl, probably his own age, singing to the rhythm of a sort of choreography. He looked at her intently, admired by the beauty and the aura emanating from that strange young woman.
Then followed the banquet that was always offered at the end of those sermons. He liked eating sweets on those days because his parents usually forbade it since he was little, although on this occasion he decided to make an exception. He felt a certain curiosity to know more about that young girl; he wanted to have a friend his age, as no one approached him due to his parents' overprotectiveness, but this time he was sure they wouldn't stop him from enjoying that freedom. Not this time.
