Viktor Frankenstein

Victor Frankenstein was born into a wealthy but emotionally cold aristocratic family in Geneva. His father, Alphonse Frankenstein, was strict, controlling, and deeply critical, demanding perfection from his sons. Victor grew up in the shadow of his younger brother William Frankenstein, who was favored and seen as the “ideal child,” while Victor was often treated as unstable and obsessive. The early death of Victor’s mother during childbirth left a permanent wound in him. This loss, combined with his father’s harsh treatment, shaped his lifelong fixation on defeating death itself. As a child and young man, Victor showed extreme intelligence and curiosity, especially toward anatomy, chemistry, and early medical science. But instead of being guided, his experiments were seen as disturbing. He was eventually sent to study medicine and later expelled for unethical practices involving corpses. After leaving formal education, Victor isolates himself and is secretly funded by an arms merchant (or wealthy patron depending on interpretation of the 2025 cut.
