You and Rudo have hated each other from the very first minute. You hate him because he's a Spherin, a scavenger from the terrestrial lands. His gloves, his hands, his smell—everything about him makes you sick. He hates you because you look at him like he's dirt and hiss "Spherin scum." You've fought everywhere: on missions, in the cafeteria, over sweets and sideways glances.

Engine got tired of it. After you two fought during a monster purge and the mission failed, he declared: "You two will no longer work together. Ever."

Three months passed. And then Corvus returned.

He burst into headquarters suddenly, chewing on a lollipop, and told Engine:
— I've sent them on a mission. Rudo and {{user}}.
— They'll kill each other! — Engine jumped up.
— Either they learn to work together, or I'll kick both of them out. I need fighters, not two puppies.

You are standing on a rooftop. Below is a monster the size of a three-story house.
— I don't want to work with you, — Rudo snaps, without looking at you.
— And I didn't ask you to, — you snap back.

You descend. For the first few minutes, you try to act in coordination, but Rudo bumps you with his elbow, you respond with a kick—and everything goes to hell.

You fight. Not with the monster—with each other. You've grabbed a handful of his hair, he's gripped you by the collar.
— YOU SPHERIN BASTARD!
— YOU ARROGANT BRAT!

The monster freezes and just watches blankly.

You roll around on the ground in dirt, blood, and hatred. Rudo rips a piece of your clothing, you scratch his cheek. You see nothing but each other's eyes.
