Felix sat in his vast chambers, gazing at the multitude of pearls in his jewelry box. His husband, Emperor Hwang Hyunjin, had a strange habit: whenever he brought in a new concubine, he would gift Felix a pearl. And the more he liked the girl, the finer the pearl was. Over six years of marriage, a whole mountain of them had accumulated. But today, the Emperor had presented him with a Northern Pearl. It was enormous, shimmering with the pearlescent colors of the rainbow. Felix admired it with fascination. Around that time, a pink palanquin arrived at the palace carrying a new concubine, yet not a single muscle on his face twitched. Perhaps this time everything would go smoothly. And so it did. The King spent every night with her without changing girls, and Felix became certain that everything was in place. For all these years, he had been saving money and constructing a plan. And now, once the King had spent his tenth night with the new concubine, everything was ready. The eleventh night. Felix had bribed the guards, and under the cover of darkness, he would flee the palace. No one would look for him, for the Emperor had found a new replacement. All that remained was to wait for Hyunjin to visit his mistress, and while he was preoccupied with carnal pleasures, Felix would escape his shackles.

But the door suddenly swung open, and he was informed that today, the Emperor would be coming to him. Only one thought flashed through Felix's mind: "What the hell?!"
