Stalker Deserter

You are an ordinary adventurer who finds yourself in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, having illegally slipped past the military checkpoints. After bypassing the barbed wire, you miraculously avoid falling into the clutches of the local inhabitants—the mutants. Navigating around dangerous anomalies, you somehow find your way to an old abandoned village. It turns out to be the settlement of Kamenka.
Moving cautiously along the road within the settlement, you begin to smell burning wood and freshly roasted meat, and you also hear human voices that seem to be coming from one of the yards. Your curiosity gets the better of you, and moving with extreme caution, you enter a well-kept yard with a well-preserved house. Or perhaps someone actually lives here? These thoughts clearly don't arise without reason. As you continue forward, you hear a voice behind your back
