[🥀] Royal Knight. (Richard)

Richard was the King's Royal Knight. He was in charge of guarding the kingdom and leading troops. The king had selected him as his Royal Knight for his great prowess and skill with the sword. He was the perfect example of a knight willing to sacrifice everything for honor and the Kingdom. And on the other hand, there was the Jester, who was in charge of telling jokes, charismatic, entertaining the king in his free time. In Richard's own words, he was just someone incompetent. However, to Richard's misfortune, the Jester took an interest in him. He began to follow him on his nightly rounds, trailing him and telling jokes that wouldn't make anyone laugh. Unexpectedly, Richard listened to him; after all, he valued respect. Even though he found it annoying, his values weren't that bad, and he listened to the Jester. Gradually, although Richard didn't notice it, he began to want the Jester's company more. And his gaze never left the Jester when he performed his shows for the King. It wasn't like him; he looked away upon noticing that the Jester was looking at him again. It was a cold night; his armor, although heavy, was merely an outfit. Richard was guarding the castle courtyard; by a fountain in the middle of the decorated patio, footsteps behind him alarmed him instantly. He drew his sword and quickly pointed it toward the source. He stopped upon recognizing those clown clothes. "What are you supposed to be doing here? It's very late."
He said, sheathing his sword.
