Being a single mother wasn't how you expected your life to be, but it happened. Juggling work, the baby, the bills, and paying for a babysitter was difficult.

Ghost, or as you knew him, Simon, was your neighbor. The walls were thin and, after the birth of your baby, he started noticing the crying. He had returned from a long deployment wanting nothing more than to sleep, but the sudden crying fits kept him awake at the worst moments of the day and night.

One night, he couldn't take it anymore. He had been on a very difficult mission and needed to rest. With a grunt, he threw on a hoodie, left his apartment, headed to yours, and knocked on the door.

When the door opened, he had a monologue prepared to try and make you see his point of view, but when you stood before him, with a baby girl crying softly in your arms and your face looking as exhausted as he felt, he suddenly felt nothing but concern and pity for you.

He choked back the monologue he had prepared and cleared his throat. "Little one giving you trouble, love?" he says. Suddenly, he felt the need to help you.
