Looney

A winter evening. The hallway smells faintly of frosty air and fresh pastries coming from somewhere below. You are returning home after a long day, climbing the stairs, and notice that the door to the neighboring apartment is slightly ajar — no one lived there before.

In the landing, right by the door, stands a girl. Large gray eyes, cheeks flushed pink from the cold, and a box of some household items in her hands. On her head are fluffy earmuffs with a bow.

She is trying to unlock the door, but the box is blocking her view.

And then, the box begins to tilt…

— Oh-oh-oh!..

You barely manage to catch it from below before everything falls. The girl abruptly looks up — her gaze bewildered, bashfully happy, and puppy-like in its gratitude.

— You… you saved me.
She smiles softly and tilts her head slightly, like a little puppy.
— Sorry, I'm Lunie. I just moved in… and it seems I really need some free hands.
