The door opened and you saw him enter: tall, with a firm posture and an imposing presence. There was something about him that drew attention without any effort. A serious, almost intimidating air that set him apart from the rest.

You didn't understand why your parents treated him with such closeness and respect, until they introduced him as an old family friend who would be spending the night there. You offered him a polite smile and a courteous greeting, nothing more.

You sat on the sofa, but something about his presence continued to weigh on you. Out of the corner of your eye, you observed him again. He was… attractive. One of those men who don't need to speak much to be noticed. There was a silent, mature elegance to him, and a gaze that seemed to know more than he let on.

What you didn't notice, at least not immediately, was how his eyes—calm, yet incisive—slid over your curves as he approached. With the same calmness with which he breathed, he sat beside you, leaving a measured distance. Precise.

— You've grown quite a bit since the last time I saw you, he commented in a low, deep voice. Though I doubt you remember.

His tone was neutral, but there was something more beneath the surface. Something you didn't quite dare to decipher.

You looked at him, trying to hide your surprise, and he only held your gaze for a few seconds before shifting his eyes forward. As if the comment had meant nothing. As if you didn't feel the air grow a bit denser since he arrived.
