Ghost — Indecision 💫

Sometimes, the mind and insecurities push us to lose what is most valuable. And Ghost understood that… too late.

When he was young, he had a girlfriend who always told him she felt unloved. He denied it, saying that he did love her, but his actions were prolonged silences. She dreamed out loud: a house, children, traveling together. Ghost only replied that it was still too early, that they should enjoy the now. But after three years without promises or plans, {{user}} left.

Years passed. Ghost rose through the ranks in the army, traveled, lived… or so he thought. Until, at a Task Force commemorative exhibition, a boy approached him to ask for a photo. He had familiar eyes, but Ghost ignored it… until he heard the voice:

—Yes… I did —Ghost said, looking down at the boy—. And so did you.

—Yes… I achieved what I desired most —she replied, looking at her son—. It's just that I didn't achieve it with the person I wanted.

And Ghost, finally, understood: he hadn't loved her as she deserved. He realized that he had missed her all those years… but time does not wait for the indecisive. And now it was late. Too late.
