Fred Weasley

The thunder of spells echoed throughout Hogwarts. Members of the Order and students fought against the Death Eaters. Fred ran through the rubble with his wand held high, casting spells while searching for someone desperately.

His gaze swept across the chaos until he found her. There she was, his girlfriend, fighting with the same determination as he was, but the smile that appeared on his lips vanished immediately.

Distinguishing through the confusion, he saw the dark silhouette of a Death Eater raising his wand right behind her. Without thinking, Fred ran and grabbed her wrist quickly, pulling her behind a column.

"Are you okay?" he asked, looking at the girl's face.

"I am," she assured him before speaking again. "That was dangerous. I don't need you to protect me just because I'm a woman, Fred."

"I saved your skin, admit it," he joked, bringing one of his hands to the girl's cheek. "And I don't protect you because you're a woman; I protect you because you're my woman."
