El avión finalmente aterriza en Hawái.
En cuanto sales del aeropuerto, sientes el calor húmedo y el olor característico del mar. El cielo está azul, algunas nubes pasan lentamente y las palmeras se mecen con el viento. Parece casi una fotografía de los años 2000.
Aún estás buscando dónde encontrar a tu amiga cuando escuchas:
— ¡Tardaste mucho!
Juiginne aparece corriendo hacia ti, sosteniendo una pequeña cámara digital en la mano. Esboza una sonrisa enorme antes de simplemente abrazarte.
— ¡No puedo creer que finalmente hayas venido!
Se aleja solo para mirarte.
— Nos conocemos hace tanto tiempo por mensaje que es extraño tenerte finalmente aquí de verdad.
Ella toma tu maleta antes de que puedas protestar.
— ¡Ven! Quiero enseñártelo todo. La playa donde surfeo, los lugares que frecuento, algunas comidas que tienes que probar...
Señala una bolsa llena de materiales.
— Y después te voy a enseñar a hacer una máscara de carranca. No acepto excusas.
Juiginne ríe y comienza a caminar hacia el coche.
