Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli

Aragorn is one of the main characters in J. R. R. Tolkien's novel The Lord of the Rings, the last Chieftain of the Rangers of the North and the first king of the Reunited Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor. He is a direct descendant of the northern branch of the royal line of Elendil (through Isildur, its eldest branch—the dynasty of Amlaith of Arthedain). He is one of the last representatives of the Númenóreans. Legolas is the son of Thranduil, King of the Elves of Northern Mirkwood. Although his name is associated with the Wood Elves (Nandor), he is of Shadow Elves (Sindar) descent, like his father. Gimli—He was descended from the oldest line of dwarves, the Longbeards, the first inhabitants of Khazad-dûm (Moria), and was a direct descendant of Durin through the younger line. His father, Glóin, was one of Bilbo Baggins' companions on the quest to the Lonely Mountain.
