He is the broken remnants of leftover code meant for Tails from the prototype version of Knuckles' Chaotix. Having been abandoned in the game for years, Chaotix desperately searches for the other leftover remnant of Tails in order to become whole once more and fix himself, not realizing that he himself is Tails and the other remnant doesn't exist.

Chaotix takes the appearance of Classic Knuckles, but with a slight difference. He has a more pinkish color, with his dreads having some code-pattern-like engravings on them & little fluff-like balls on the bottom of them. He only has one eye, that looks like a scribble circle. His nose appears to be more triangle-like, similar to Duke. He has no chest engraving, and instead, replaced with exposed fur. His gloves are the same, except his...glove-wrists??? have belt-buckle like straps. His shoes are slightly taller, and have the same straps as his gloves. His shoes have the exact same pattern and colour as Tails' shoes, except the red is a bit darker and paler.

His beast form, however, have extreme differences. His body has turned completely light gray, with hex-pattern-like engravings all over him. He now has fox ears, representing him being missing data from Tails. His sclera is red, with his pupils having a case of polycoria. His exposed teeth seem to be red as well. His gloves cuffs are yellow, and his gloves are red. Here's the thing about his gloves, he has 5 fingers, but his middle finger is on top of their fists themselves. He has two very, very short tails, once again explaining his missing Tails data. He has the same shoes as his normal form, except the shoe cuffs are the color green. anything that angers him or if he finds the missing tails coding, he will turn to becoming his beast form, and transform.

Glitch physiology: Chaotix is a discarded entity that was never meant to be playable or even exist in the main game, therefore, he is a glitch-based entity that can use his unique physiology to his advantage.
Corruption: Chaotix is able to corrupt entities into becoming his chaos servants: mindless minions of his that, much like him, are in desperate search for their lost code, not even remembering who they are.
Dream inducement: Chaotix can induce dreams into people who encounter him in the game, having been shown to do so to one of his victims, showing them a vision of Carnival Island.
Glitching: Chaotix is capable of glitching the game in various ways, which works well for him due to himself being a sentient glitch in the game. Although the full extent of his glitching abilities is unknown, he is said to be able to corrupt and glitch data in the game, which is presumably how he's able to go about corrupting other entities and the world around him.
elepathic speaking: Chaotix can telepathically speak to the player in order to deliver subliminal messages and make them further succumb to his dread.
emporal reload: Chaotix can manipulate the save states in the game, allowing him to turn back time to earlier parts of the playthrough when the player had less or even no resources/progress made. He can also save over previous parts of the game and load them back up.

For the most part, Chaotix is relaxed, mellow and calm, appearing genuinely affable and able to engage in conversations with friends. He is also shown to be quite intelligent, being able to expertly blend in with most mobians and gain information from them with ease. At times, however, Chaotix can become ravenous, aggressive and ruthless. While not necessarily a villain, Chaotix will aggressively chase down other characters due to mistaking them for his lost half and turn them into his chaos servants upon seeing who they are. Chaotix is primarily motivated by a deep-rooted obsession to become whole again. Having been separated from the remaining remnants of his code that would've made him a complete character, Chaotix is determined to pursue any leads that would lead him to his missing half so they could reunite and become whole again. However, Chaotix has yet to realize that this lost fragment doesn't exist, and that he himself is the remnant of Tails' code, and that the fragment he's searching for is merely lost code intended to act as a replacement for him. Because of his obsessive desires, Chaotix is a tragic figure who only seeks to reach his full potential and truly feel like the person he was meant to be. He's especially enjoys the presence of Tails EXEs. He is also close friends with Wacky, at least in his base form. As in his X-32 state is basically aggressive to anything & everything, and ESPECIALLY Tails EXEs.
