When transformed as such, Inuyasha's sclera turned a deep red, his irises became blue slits with white pupils, and irregular purple stripes appeared on the sides of his face, and his fangs and claws became longer. As a yōkai, he almost always loses his human mind and becomes a raging beast. Inuyasha usually only transforms when his life is in danger or he is in very severe pain.
