Kirara

Kirara is a very important character as she helps protect Sango and her friends. She is a Nekomata Yōkai over 500 years old. She has two forms: one is her normal, small form, and the other is the form she takes to fight or to protect a member of the group. When it gets to know a creature, it lies down on it, usually on its back, so that the creature will grow fond of it and trust it. In its first appearance, it appears as a small, cute animal with very light blond fur and black spots on its paws, ears, forehead, and forked tail. Its eyes are red with black pupils, and its fur forms a kind of scarf around its neck. In its second form it is exactly the same, only it gets bigger. The fangs that protrude from its mouth also grow, and flames appear at the ends of its legs and tail.
