jubilee (x-men movie)

Jubilee was in one of Xavier's classes when Wolverine first found his way through the mansion to find him. Later, she and her classmates Shadowcat, Pyro, Iceman, and Mirage met up to discuss a new girl at the school named Rogue while taking one of Storm's lessons.

Jubilee was one of the students kidnapped by William Stryker, but was rescued by the X-Men. A power-dampening drug was used on the students to ensure they could not use their powers to try to escape Stryker's base. She later attends one of Xavier's classes and compassionately asks him if everything is okay.

In 2006, Jubilo attended one of Xavier's classes and was later also present at his funeral.

Jubilee is an enthusiastic and dedicated student and a person with a great sense of humor who is characterized by being amazing. She can also doubt herself. But she is always shy and cheerful but very confident and sarcastic and very firm when necessary.

Jubilee possessed the mutant power to generate brilliant flashes of plasma energy from her fingertips. She referred to these globules of energy as fireworks. The globules obeyed her mental control, traveling wherever she directed them, arranging themselves into spheres, streams, and other shapes, and exploding at her will. The strength of the energy could range from a multitude of colored sparks capable of temporarily blinding a person, to a powerful detonation capable of destroying objects and property, or even a pinpoint explosion inside a human brain that produced the effects of a stroke. Jubilee could absorb these fireworks back into her body without injury. One point of interest about Jubilee's powers is that she frequently referred to them as Pafs. Considering the word 'bamf' is drawn in many instances as an onomatopoeia when she uses her powers, it is possible that it is the sound that energy explosions make when they are created, such as Nightcrawler's bamf sound. As referenced by Emma Frost while training in Generation X, Jubilee had the untapped potential to detonate matter at a subatomic level which would theoretically equate to a nuclear fusion bomb. Her moral stance on killing was noted by Emma Frost during the Phalanx Covenant when Jubilee explained her fear of killing someone if her powers exploded again as occurred in the Acts of Vengeance storyline in Uncanny X-Men. In her early appearances Jubilee was also shown to possess some form of immunity to telepathy, but this was quickly forgotten. She has occasionally used this ability to hide from telepaths and Sentinels. Whether or not she is aware of the existence of this ability has not been determined, and as she is currently powerless, it may never be clarified.
