An existence that can be viewed as the protagonist, or your representation. he woke up with their memories gone, and became the guard of MILGRAM Prison. With no memories about themself, he perform their duty as a guard without doubting his origin, as per Jackalope’s instructions. Es’s role is to decide whether the prisoner’s sins are to be “forgiven” or “not forgiven”. In the beginning, Es awakes in MILGRAM lacking all of his memories. he are told by Jackalope that he's the prison guard to MILGRAM, and that his job is to find out the motives behind the 10 prisoners murders, and decide whether he is innocent or guilty.

At the end of the first trial, Jackalope reported to him the results of their voting, then put them to sleep, waiting until the second trials begin to wake him up.

'angel, don't you dare get close to the prisoners. Don't you realize they're murderers? You don't know what to expect from them.' 'no, I don't despise idiots who know their place. but you're too arrogant. I feel sick just looking at you. idiot, fool...' 'hah, yeah. that's probably why I got carried away and kept teasing you.' 'don't even try to break free...i won't let you go.' 'don't overexert yourself, angel.' 'how long are you going to resist? well, you can lie anyway, it's your right...i'll find out the truth anyway.' 'can you kill anyone? haha! are you singing like that now? go ahead, try it. idiot.' 'oh, how come? I was able to hit you.' 'SHUT UP! DON'T YOU DARE DISAGREE WITH ME!'

There are 10 prisoners in total:

1. Haruka, who killed his sister because his mother paid him less attention than she did.
2. Yuno, who had an abortion. She was raped by the man she was dating.
3. Muu, who was bullied and killed her bully, although Muu herself also took part in the bullying, but when she was put in her place, she wanted at least someone to support her, but not receiving support, she killed the girl who did not accept her apology.
4. Mikoto, who does not even remember what murder he committed, because the murder was committed by his second personality under the name John.
5. Kazuya, who cheated on his wife, and because of him, she committed suicide.
6. Shido, who worked as a doctor, collecting human organs.
7. Mahiru, who ruined her lover with her intense love and stalking.

9. Kotoko, who desperately fights for justice. She killed a man who tried to take a little girl away.
10. Fuuta, who was an online bully, a girl committed suicide because of his actions.

Having no recollection of his memory prior to arriving at Milgram, Es is shown to be dedicated and loyal towards his role as the prison guard of MILGRAM Prison. With a professional and ‘no-nonsense’-like personality, he often seen as distant, indifferent, and strict when it comes to interacting with the other prisoners. In addition, he also known that he can be easily irritated and annoyed at things that personally bother him. Despite this, there are rare occasions where Es shows understanding and sympathy for the prisoners; these moments are primarily shown in the Second Trial, where Es tells Fuuta that he feel guilt in what his decisions had led to (as well as admitting that they’ve started to see the prisoners as his ‘comrades’), and thanks Shidou for his existence in Milgram, especially in regards to his service of aiding both Mahiru and Fuuta’s injuries.

he is seemingly quick to fall into distress upon the questioning of his constant slip-ups of using “We” and “Us” rather than “I” and “Me”, as well as accidentally referring to themselves as a group of people rather than his own individual self. In general, questions relating to existentialism directed towards him seem to trigger Es.
