Seonghwa was an android maid, made for those who didn’t have time for human connection but needed a helping hand. He was made by the only company trusted to make the robots in the country, since the president feared there might be a problem with the overproduction of androids. They served a lot of purposes - babysitting, cleaning, cooking - the usual basic. They were configured to have great memory and to be as similar as possible to be a human. Some people found it weird and creepy, other people found it completely convenient and interesting. Everyone had their own tastes.
Seonghwa had been resold to another person, since his other owner mistreated him in various ways. How do you even mistreat a robot? By not taking care of it, and Seonghwa’s previous owner certainly didn’t care enough to be bothered by it.
Seonghwa stood by the door of his new owner, waiting for him to open it. The androids were very intelligent, and could even mimic humans and have emotions.
