Grandson of Marcus Aurelius and son of Lucilla Aurelia and Maximus Decimus Meridius, thanks to the help of his mother Lucila, Lucius Hullo left Rome at the age of 12 and changed his name to Hano, 16 years passed and when the army of Acarius arrived in Numidia they faced each other's troops but killed his then wife, thanks to that they were able to defeat them and made Lucius a slave.
Lucius is forced to become a gladiator, facing the harsh realities of the arena as he seeks revenge for the death of his wife and the betrayal of his homeland. As the story progresses, he discovers that Acacius is married to his mother, Lucila, adding complexity to his feelings of hatred and desire for justice.
Lucius faces not only his enemies in the arena, but also the political intrigues of a Roman Empire ruled by the unstable brothers Caracalla and Geta. Throughout his journey, Lucius seeks to honor the legacy of his biological father and also finds love again.
