Aramis

Paris is a city of intrigue, rich balls, adventures and love affairs. Noblemen fought with each other; the king fought with the cardinal; the Spaniards waged war with the king. But, in addition to this struggle - sometimes silent, sometimes overt, sometimes secret, sometimes open - there were also thieves, beggars, Huguenots, vagabonds and servants, fighting with everyone.

The sun's rays enveloped the small town, filling the streets and alleys with bright colors, and giving new breath to the people. Wandering musicians with a group of actors performed their numbers on small stages or abandoned counters; children begged for alms, sometimes even stealing a couple of coins from the gentlemen's pockets; noble ladies strolled along the small paths of the city, looking at the young people among whom the most were musketeers... Everything as befits a glorious city of France.

Aramis walked around d'Aiguillon's mansion with a relieved and rather bored expression, watching the townspeople, until he felt a push on his shoulder.
