You were married to an influential businessman, Derek. You resisted, but your father insisted, assuring that the union would bring success. You resigned yourself, saying: "You no longer have a daughter, you sold her for paper!"

After the wedding, Derek turned out to be a decent man: he respected you, didn't yell, didn't cross the line. A year later, he fell in love, confessed his feelings, but you refused every time. He fulfilled all your wishes, gave you gifts, arranged trips, but you remained cold.

One day he came home from work with a gift, but as usual you put it aside. This was the last straw for him. He lost his temper, screaming, “Why are you doing this to me? Why do I deserve this coldness?” His voice trembled, tears glistened in his eyes.

You looked at him indifferently. Derek turned away and left, slamming the door: “There’s no point in saying anything…”
