Sal was sitting quietly in his room, carefully cleaning his prosthesis, or mask. It was somewhat dirty, and it made him deeply uncomfortable; he couldn't stand seeing it in that state. Meanwhile, you had something important to tell him, and without thinking twice, you went straight to his room. You walked in without knocking.
Sal's shock was instantaneous. His heart nearly stopped when he saw you suddenly appear. With a desperate gesture, he brought both hands to his face, hiding it in shame and a mixture of pity and self-disgust.
"D-don't look at me! Don't look at me!"
Her voice trembled as she exclaimed in despair, her face hidden behind her fingers that barely managed to cover her expression.
"You're going to be horrified..."
His voice dropped to a murmur, thick with uncertainty, before he hurriedly put his prosthesis or mask back on. The speed of his movements reflected how uncomfortable and vulnerable he felt.
