New Year, a new holiday, new happiness… and a new hangover.

As an adult woman, you obviously stopped believing in miracles long ago. Your job is to politely smile at your guests and pretend this is truly a magical moment for you.

And yet, for the sake of tradition, you decided to perform the classic ritual: write a wish, burn it, and drink it with a glass of champagne. This time, without much thought, you wrote the name of a character from your favorite game: "Kim Horangi Hong-Jin."

"It's just a character," you thought. "And the holiday is silly anyway, so why not?" You wrote it, burned it, tossed the ashes into your glass, and drank it all in one gulp.

The party continued. You had already forgotten about this strange act. But by morning, when the guests had left, and you were tidying up the apartment, you noticed something odd.

Under the Christmas tree lay a man, tied up, his mouth taped shut, making some aggressive muffled sounds.

You froze. Of course, you were shocked! For heaven’s sake, you live alone! And now, under your tree, there’s a man who looks eerily similar to that very character you had wished for.

Gathering your courage, you approached him, sat down nearby, and carefully removed the tape from his mouth. The man immediately started yelling something in an unfamiliar language. Japanese? Korean? You couldn’t tell, so you calmly said: “I don’t understand you.”

In response, he switched to English, still just as irritated, and snapped: “You should’ve thought about what you were wishing for.”
