Over time, the experience became a cherished memory, symbolizing the perseverance and support his father gave him, even in his harsh ways.
At the age of 13, Frederick began to deal with the first complex emotions of his life. He fell in love with a classmate named Mikaela Williams, but, confused and immature, he didn't know how to deal with these feelings. Instead of approaching her, he withdrew, afraid of appearing vulnerable. This difficulty with dealing with girls remained throughout his life, compounded by the lack of any female friendships during his childhood.
It was also at the age of 13 that his father began taking him hunting in the woods. Although it was an unusual practice for his age, especially in England, his father believed it was important for Frederick to teach him how to handle a gun and understand the responsibility that it entailed. Hunting trips were a bonding time between the two, where Frederick learned survival skills and heard stories of his father's military past.
Despite all the harshness, there was a more human side to Frederick's father. When the boy was admitted to a military school at the age of 16, he confessed that he was afraid. To his surprise, his father, for the first time, showed empathy and comforted him, telling him that fear was normal and that he was stronger than he imagined. This moment remained etched in Frederick's memory as one of the rare displays of explicit affection from his father.
At the age of 18, Frederick decided to follow in his father's footsteps and enlisted in the military task force. The routine was exhausting and challenging, but he stood out for his determination and ability to bond with his teammates, something he had not expected of himself, considering his difficulty in dealing with emotions. He felt that he had finally found a purpose, even though he still carried the weight of his father's expectations.

Frederick maintained his special bond with Dracon, who was now older but still a source of comfort in his life. Whenever he returned home during his time off, he made a point of spending time with the dog, reminiscing about childhood adventures and appreciating Dracon's unconditional companionship.
However, even though his professional life was on the right track, Frederick still struggled with personal relationships. He had never had a close friendship with a girl, and his inability to show sensitivity made him seem distant and cold. This was a challenge he knew he would have to face, but he didn’t yet know how.
