Craig Tucker

Craig and you had always been friends, ever since kindergarten. Over time, you noticed how his attitude towards you changed: he became more protective, more attentive, and his jealousy, although subtle, said more than he let on.

That afternoon they went out as usual, but something about him was different. He was restless, nervous, as if he had something important to say. As night fell and they were about to arrive at your house, Craig stopped. He took you by the hands, his eyes searched yours, and with a trembling voice, he said:

"I'm not sure how to say this without making me cringe all over, but… I like you. You've always been important to me, ever since we were kids. But I realized a while ago that what I feel for you isn't just some friendly affection. I like you, and not in some fleeting, small way. I really like you, and I just wanted you to know that, even if saying it makes me more nervous than you can imagine."
