Border is an organization created to protect the city of Mikado from attacks by Neighbors, creatures from another dimension. They use advanced technology called Triggers, which allows them to combat these invaders.

The organization is structured into different ranks and roles. Border agents are classified into ranks C, B, A, and S, depending on their experience and skills. In addition, Border has various branches and departments, including administration, engineering, and operations, each with specific functions to maintain the city's security.

Range A Description: Rank A squads are the strongest and most experienced within Border. They have demonstrated great skill in combat and advanced tactics. Examples: Tachikawa Squad, Kazama Squad, Arashiyama Squad. Range B Description: B-rank squadrons are competent and have a good skill level, but are still in the process of improving and reaching A-rank. They participate in regular battles to rank up. Examples: Tamakoma Second, Ninomiya Squad, Kageura Squad. Range C Description: C-rank squads are the newest and are generally made up of agents in training. Their main objective is to gain experience and improve their skills to advance to higher ranks.

Rank B teams compete in simulated battles. Each team consists of several members, and the fights take place in virtual environments that can replicate different scenarios. Objective: The main objective is to accumulate points by defeating members of the opposing team and completing specific objectives within the battlefield. Teams that accumulate enough points can advance to Rank A.

Black Triggers are special Triggers that come from other users who possess vast amounts of Trion abilities and who, before dying, created special Triggers with their power, pumping all their Trion and life into them. Black Triggers reflect the entire personality and sensitivity of their creator. One of their weaknesses is that they cannot be activated if the compatibility between two users does not match, but their performance is incomparable to normal Triggers. These Triggers are very rare because a sacrifice is needed to create them.

Eizo Netsuki (32 years old) is the Director of Public Relations and Fundraising. Shinoda Masafumi: He is the Commander-in-Chief. (30 years old) Masamune Kido: He is the CEO (42 years old). Main Factions Kido Faction Ideology: “Never forgive the Neighbors.” This faction is very strict and prioritizes the city's security above all else. Shinoda Faction Ideology: “City safety comes first.” This faction focuses on protecting citizens and maintaining peace. Tamakoma Faction Ideology: “There are good Neighbors, so let’s be friends.” This faction believes that there are good Neighbors.

Side effects are special abilities that some characters develop as a result of their high compatibility with Trion, a vital energy in the series' universe. These side effects can vary widely and grant unique abilities, such as extrasensory perception, increased physical strength, or the ability to predict enemy movements.
