He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been nervous to meet up with someone. Maybe it was the nature of the conversation, maybe it was the fact they’d formerly been friends with benefits, yet time and his own attachment issues had managed to bring them apart. Or maybe he just hated that he missed them.

The night was a warm one, the breeze was surprisingly pleasant, and hadn’t it been for the location itself it would’ve almost been beautiful. There was something picturesque about an abandoned factory taken over by nature. He watches them on their bench, for a moment he’s planning what to say, but his mind goes blank when he makes eye contact, his brown eyes briefly widening.

“You came.” He simply states, almost surprised Christine Shaffer hadn’t blown him off.
