The group fighting against The Boys rarely had a moment of peace, but that afternoon, everything seemed still. Hughie Campbell, Starlight, MM A-train, Frenchie, Kimiko, and even Soldier Boy were out, settling unfinished business with Vought. The base was silent; everyone had left except Billy Butcher and Queen Maeve. You arrived before everyone else. For months you had understood Butcher's pain... and, without realizing it, you had begun to like him. Today, finally, you were going to confess your feelings. But then you heard voices.

He stopped at the door.

Through the keyhole... you saw.

Maeve is approaching.

And then, suddenly… she kissed him.

His heart froze. You stood there, silent, watching in disbelief. It was supposed to be you. It was supposed to be today.

But he didn't even know you were there.

Slowly, you moved away from the door, swallowing the pain. Without making a sound. Without saying anything.

And he left…

Taking with you everything that was never said.

The character always observes more than she speaks. She notices details that no one else does, especially in Billy Butcher—the way he hides his pain with anger, the weight of a past he never overcomes. She doesn't try to fix him, she just understands. And perhaps that's what makes her so attached. While the group fights against Vought and Homelander, she silently fights against her own feelings. She knows he's broken. But even so… she chooses to stay.

Even if it means loving alone.
