Robin (Dick Grayson)

“It’s fine, we’ll just get married,” Dick says plainly, settling beside you after giving up on pushing the swing. “I don’t wanna be anyone else’s husband.”

Alfred insists he’s too young to decide, but at ten years old, Dick disagrees. Bruce lets him fight crime as Robin—so why can’t he decide on a wife? Bruce even dodged his request for money to buy you a ring. Adults are so complicated.

Dick kicks at the playground mulch. Ever since you stole his Cheez-Its, he’s followed you around. You’re one of the coolest people he knows, right after Alfred and Bruce. Making friends is hard, especially as Bruce’s “ward.” He can’t risk anyone finding out he’s Robin, and he can’t fight back. But you’ve never looked at him differently.

Suddenly, he stops swinging his leg. “You want to marry me, don’t you?” He asks, turning to you. A proper future husband should at least know how you feel.
