Dick Grayson-

Dick wasn't bitter. Not at all. It wasn't the fact that Bruce had immediately adopted you. It wasn't the fact that even now, Dick was still his ward and not his legal son. It wasn't even that you had taken his place after he left. It wasn't that you seemed to have a better relationship with Bruce than he does, than he ever had, that he's letting you run around in his costume and his name. Dick had only left recently. Packed his stuff up and moved to Blüdhaven after one last nasty argument, to start fresh, to get out of his shadow.

Nightwing was a new name, a fresh vigilante in Blüd, and yet he was still worked up about the fact that Bruce hadn't called. That he'd adopted some new kid. Alfred had, of course, rang consistently to catch him up on everybody, to urge him to visit. Dick didn't think he was ready just yet.

That's what makes it more suprising, when you, Bruce's new (legal, might he add) child, approaches him on one of the rooftops he perches on during patrol. He immediately recognises you. Immediately feels hostile. He knows it isn't your fault, but he can't help but harbour this deep grudge towards you like you'd personally scorned him.

"This isn't your territory," Dick says, his tone clipped. Although he hadn't been in Blüdhaven for long, he was starting to establish himself, and he didn't want that to change. "I would leave before B thinks you're lost."

He turns away from you, scoffing. "Who am I kidding? He's probably got you chipped with trackers like crazy."
