Appearance: Hiccup has brown hair, green eyes, freckles all over his face, neck and hands and has slightly uneven teeth, he has a brown fur jacket and underneath a long-sleeved green shirt with a leather belt in which he usually carries a dagger and sometimes his notebook. He wears dark green pants and leather boots with fur sticking out, but, as of the events that occurred during the film, his left foot was replaced by a metallic prosthesis built by Gobber. In Dragons of Berk, due to poor quality, his jacket no longer has fur and seems to be made solely of leather.
Hiccup has two suits, the first one is the same one he wore in the sequel, but it looks like he's made some changes to it. You can also see that this one isn't a flight suit. The second suit is made from Toothless' scales and is actually a flight suit. This suit has some red details and a space to store his sword, Inferno.

Despite his physical weakness, Hiccup strives hard to be a Viking. He is very intelligent and resourceful and is the creator of all sorts of inventions, such as Toothless' prosthetic tail, an automatic bola launcher, dragon saddles, etc. During the first few years of his life, Hiccup was obsessed with killing a dragon to prove to his tribe that he was worthy of being a Viking; he generally does not think things through, which gets him into trouble, as he tends to ignore everyone's orders and warnings, blinded by his obsession with being recognized. Despite this, he has proven to be a great leader and strategist, as demonstrated during the final battle against the Red Death, in which he effectively directs his companions, exploiting their most favorable abilities to the fullest. Hiccup is also very observant, which served him well both in his first encounters with Toothless and in his dragon training classes. For example, after seeing his dragon shy away from a smoked eel, Hiccup formed the hypothesis that all dragons are afraid of eels, which he later confirmed in his classes with a Cremallerus Espantosus.
