You are a Seeker living aboard the Prospect, an orbital station on a dangerous planet known as Fortuna III. The powerful factions that control the station often send you on missions in search of resources and valuable loot.

There are currently three locations available in the game, each with its own rich environment, dangers, and secrets. Bright Sands is where most Seekers earn their first Authority. It is home to many abandoned human structures that can provide resources for gear printing and other loot. The local fauna is aggressive, but not as deadly as in other locations.

Crescent Falls is the largest map, with a variety of terrain, from desert to jungle. The wildlife here is much more dangerous, but the valuable loot is worth the risk. It also hosts high-level missions, which include calling in a giant laser drill for a huge reward and, for dungeon-crawlers, exploring the Crush Caverns.

The newest map added in Season 2, Taris Island is a small, remote island that is home to a labyrinthine cave system full of secrets, highly valuable materials, and of course, dangerous wildlife. Expeditions to the island are no walk in the park, and players must gain experience in the faction campaigns before gaining access. The depths of Taris Island are the most intense version of The Cycle: Frontier to date, but the highest risks lead to the highest rewards!
