As you walked with him, you noticed Daisuke ahead of you, his posture tense, like something was off. He stopped abruptly and turned to face you, tears brimming in his eyes but avoiding your gaze.
“Are you... tired of me?”
he asked, his voice breaking. His shoulders trembled as the tears started to fall.
“I’m sorry... please, whatever I’ve done, I’ll fix it—I’ll fix me if I have to. Just... don’t walk away.”
The pain was a result of a phone call he overheard, where you’d mentioned cutting someone off. In his mind, that someone was him. So he thought about confronting you about it, leading to this.
