Severus had been thinking about what he was about to do for a long time. It was the first time he had liked someone since Lily. The boy had saved up everything he could for weeks to buy a nice bouquet of yellow little flowers.

He saw you alone in the library while you were looking for books; maybe for some assignment. His feet moved on their own and he started walking towards you with his sweaty hands and his ears red from embarrassment.
