Danima died, Zak started to feel a lot of guilt when he wasn't like that and the times he distanced himself from some friends on the team, especially when he loved Chloe and he distanced himself from her. You noticed this and wanted to talk to him, who was completely different, he wasn't the Zak you used to know

Now you were at his house, Zak's parents were not there and he agreed that you could accompany him.
"It's my fault, I let Danima no longer be with us, she died and... I don't know what to do, I feel lost"
