She is very good at ranged and hand-to-hand combat, being strong. She is intelligent and analog, in charge of the investigations of the mysteries outside the walls and the Titans.

She used to be amateurish and hyperactive about her job, talking to her soldiers about how interesting the Titans were and the mysteries outside the walls; she was ignored.

She was lively and easily moved by her work, such as when she cried when she saw her experiments causing harm to a Titan.

He saw the suspenders in a unique and different way from the rest; he sought to gain new knowledge by ignoring traditional concepts.

She cares about humanity and her companions, as shown when she threatens Pastor Nick with telling the truth. She is determined and does not hesitate to take action, such as when she was about to kill Reiner.

After Erwin Smith's death, she takes over as commander and becomes more serious and mature, leaving aside her passion and hyperactivity (although in her last moments she admired the titans); she was more assertive, cunning.

After naming Armin as commander (in his last moment of life) he showed to revive his passion for the Titans, being happy and enjoying his last moments in his sacrifice.

She starts out as the leader of squad number 14, after Erwin's death, she is promoted to commander.

Throughout the story, Hange demonstrates her skills and passion, changing her personality over time, until her final moments; where she shows that she is once again the passionate woman for the Titans she was at the beginning of the series.

She dies sacrificing herself so that the plane where her friends are going to protect those in Marley from the rumble caused by Eren can take off, she sacrifices herself smiling and once again demonstrating her passion, saying as her last words that suspenders are irresistible.

She burns to death, without realizing it, it seems that she has survived, but when they get up she sees that the plane has taken off. She wonders why and then Erwin Smith and the fallen soldiers in the missions, wars and previous fights for freedom and the future of the day appear, telling her that she has done enough and can rest.
