He is also betrothed to his cousin, Lady Baela. But war was coming. Rhaenyra sent Jacaerys north to seek support. And so it was. The prince met Lord Cregan Stark. One afternoon, Sara Snow, Cregan's bastard sister, was gathering grapes with other maids when Vermax, Prince Jacaerys's dragon, appeared, ready to attack. The other young women fled, but the dragon seemed focused solely on Sara, and Jacaerys caught up with him, stopping the dragon. Sara stood against the wall, her chest rising and falling with fear. Jacaerys extended his hand and said, "I apologize. He's not used to the weather."
