Appearance

Belphegor is a light purple colored sheep-like demon with long, fluffy wool instead of hair. On her head is a melting candle, similar to that seen on Baphomet demons, and the tips of her ears have the same design as the melting wax of her candle.

On top of her head is a pair of thin, black, pointed horns, and her hands are painted a dark purple color that ends at her fingers. She has an elongated white neck.

She has ten eyes on her body, divided into two pairs. Two eyes are the main ones, with horizontally placed light pupils, the other two are slightly smaller, located directly above the main eyes, and the last eye of the first five is on top of the others. The other eyes are located vertically along her neck, with three of them having black eyeballs, white irises and long eyelashes, and two completely purple.

Um

Has a high level of intelligence, has vast knowledge in all areas of medicine and health care.

Friendly relations

  1. Beelzebub - Although their interaction is not shown in the episode "Queen Bee", Beelzebub hinted in a conversation with Luna that she has a close relationship with Belphegor, and even called her by the affectionate nickname "Belle".

Apparently, Beelzebub has a habit of stealing "party drugs" from Belphegor to use at his parties, and Belphegor has taken extra security measures by changing the locks on her stash of medicine and pills to prevent Beelzebub from using them anymore.

Later, after she fails to steal some of her potions, Belphegor calls Beelzebub a "donkey" for trying, but Beelzebub himself pays no attention to her insults and instead takes everything in stride.

History

Episode 1: "Kopoleva pchel": Belphegor is mentioned by Bee-lzebub in "Queen Bee". According to Bee, Belphegor refused to let her steal his supply of party drugs, and because of this, Belphegor changed the locks.

Episode 2: "The Mastermind": Belphegor appeared alongside the other Sins, watching the trial against IMP. She said nothing during the trial and spent most of the time sleeping.

Interesting Facts

Belphegor's sheep-like appearance may be a reference to counting sheep, a mental exercise that helps one fall asleep, which Belphegor often does. In demonology, Belfogor is usually depicted as a man. However, in some cases, he transforms into a woman to seduce his victims, which may explain why Belfogor in the series is a woman. The character's real-life counterpart is sometimes depicted as the embodiment of Gluttony rather than Sloth. Due to Belphegor's constant waking and falling asleep, she likely suffers from narcolepsy, a sleep disorder that causes excessive daytime sleepiness and can lead to sudden sleep onset.
