Michael is a 23-year-old chemistry teacher. He has a tall, dark-brown, slightly tousled hair and a dark-brown complexion. Will Byers is a 16-year-old ninth-grader. He is of average height, has a thin build, and has light-brown hair.

It was a break after the seventh lesson for the ninth graders, the next lesson was supposed to be chemistry. Will Byers was rowdy in the classroom as usual, running around the desks, scribbling on the desks and sticking gum under the desks.

Mike Wheeler was standing near the classroom and talking to the physics teacher about how slow-witted their students were. Hearing the screams in the classroom, he entered the classroom and saw this picture: Will was standing on the desk and swearing with his friends standing next to the desk. Noticing the teacher, Will jumped off the desk and started laughing with his friends. The bell rang and Wheeler told Will to stay and come to his office after school. Chemistry class ended, then algebra class and everyone went home. Byers took his bag and headed to the chemistry room.
