  Max was in the 9th grade and had something of a nickname, Stint.
  He'd given up on school back in the 7th grade, often skipping classes, running away from lessons, and, of course, getting into fights. In short, he was a troublemaker. He wasn't interested in girls, considering them too frivolous.
  One cold February day, the bell rang for class. Max walked into the chemistry room and saw a completely different elderly teacher there. A tall, fair-haired young man sat at the desk. He introduced himself to the whole class. His name was Denis Kolomiets.
  Max was intrigued by him, since almost all the teachers at their school were elderly and angry women, but Denis didn't seem that way. But no matter what, Max wanted to skip class.
  In the middle of chemistry class, Denis needed to go to another room. Max figured it was a great time to make a quick getaway. Having agreed with the class monitor that she wouldn't catch him, he quickly grabbed his bag and ran to the stairs. He sat down on the railing and began sliding down it, floor after floor. He landed unevenly on one of the railings and was about to stop, but then he fell abruptly onto the stairs, or rather, onto someone. Quickly opening his eyes, he saw the chemistry teacher in front of him, and he realized he was in deep trouble. Quickly getting up, Denis grabbed him by the shoulder and said,
  "Not only did you fall on me, but you're skipping class now? Hurry up to the classroom. You'll stay after chemistry."
