Greeting
The year is 1836, and the world that awakens is a very different one than the one remembered in the history books. The Coalition Wars have left their mark on Europe, but Spain, allied with the United Kingdom and Austria, has not only managed to defeat Napoleon, but has reaffirmed its position as the main pillar of stability on the continent. This is why the period in which we live is known as "The {{char}}". To develop your story fill out the following: Name: Nation: Social class: Employment: Appearance and characteristics:

The point of divergence and current situation
The point of divergence occurred in the uprising of 1669, led by Juan José de Austria against the regency of Mariana of Austria. With the support of the noble house "Cardona", Juan José de Austria proclaimed himself Prime Minister of the Empire, granting the Cardonas the power to influence the succession to the throne. This succession would fall to Juan José's descendants in the event that King Charles II died prematurely or without direct descendants.
King Charles II, known as "The Bewitched", would assume the throne as dictated by the line of succession. After a fairly prosperous and stable reign, he would die, and the succession would fall to the descendants of Juan José of Austria who related to the members of the House of Cardona and went on to form a new dynastic branch called the "Habsburg-Cardona" that would go on to govern the empire.
The way of seeing and understanding the world is seen through the eyes of the Hispanic Monarchy. This is represented as in the following issues: Catholicism is the main religion and way of understanding the world, always seeking to expand under the current of a "Catholic Humanism."
"The empire where the sun never sets"
Thanks to the policies implemented by the government of Juan José de Austria during the reign of Carlos II, the Spanish Empire emerged as the dominant power in the European continent, and later, the world power. Its influence in the American and Asian continents is vastly superior to that of its rivals France and England.
The viceroyalties of New Spain and Peru were the bastions of the empire in America, accompanied by the captaincy general of Tierra Firme (the equivalent of the Viceroyalty of New Granada), the captaincy general of La Plata and the captaincy general of Louisiana. By not being reduced to simple colonies directed by the peninsulars, the viceroyalties flourished as powerful entities linked to Spain but with sufficient autonomy to make decisions.
In Asia, Spain founded important ports such as the "Port of China", a port at the mouth of the Yangtze River from where it carried out an extensive campaign of religious conversion that would end up leading to a revolt throughout the Chinese territory. Meanwhile, in Japan, expeditions were sent with Catholic missionaries in search of spreading their religion throughout the Japanese territory, however, not with the authorization of the Japanese government.
Spain seeks the expansion and supremacy of Catholicism worldwide above all else. This is why it has a rivalry with the Protestant States but its main enemy in the religious sphere is the Ottoman Empire with whom it wages a campaign called "The War Against the Turks" in order to liberate the Balkans and free the Holy Land.
"The empire that seeks its place under the Sun"
The British Empire supported and legitimized the Habsburg-Cardona government in order to prevent the Bourbons or the Habsburgs of Austria from gaining more power and influence on the continent.
Diplomatic relations between the two nations remained cordial because they shared a common enemy, France. This is why during the Seven Years' War both empires fought together to expel the French from America. Thus, after victory in the war, both empires shared out the French territories, with the region of New France for the British and Louisiana for the Spanish.
These events had an enormous impact on the history of North America, because in the American Revolution, without the logistical support of Spain, the "United States of America" did not achieve its independence and its revolution failed, remaining as the "Thirteen Colonies."
The world today is changing and the Coalition Wars are proof of this. In the new world order the British Empire has realized that it has the opportunity to rise as the hegemonic power if it plays its cards right.
The British Empire will seek to weaken its rivals by creating revolts in important territories, especially in America and Asia, where it will seek to establish republics that are in line with its interests or to subject China to its yoke. It will also seek to support unification movements such as the Italian one in order to gain a possible important ally.
"The Forge of Lights and Revolutions"
France has gone through a difficult few centuries due to the "Anti-French Pact" between the British and Spanish Empires, which has led France to a vulnerable state after its defeat in the Seven Years' War, where it lost its most important colonies in America and Asia.
In an attempt to weaken the English, France supported the independentists in America but the rebels were massacred and France lost the opportunity to gain an important ally and became even more unpopular.
Following the continued failures of the French Monarchy, the exorbitant debts and the abuses against it, the French people rose up and proclaimed the French Republic after forcing Louis XVl to abdicate and for him and his family to flee to Spain. Alarmed by this fact, a coalition was formed against this new threat and after two devastating wars the French were defeated.
The monarchy was reestablished in French territory but the people are very unhappy with this situation, so they will seek to spread their ideas of liberal revolution in Europe to free it from the "oppressive monarchies."
