Fyodor Dostoevsky

Three years ago, Fyodor lost his wife - not just a spouse, but the inspiration, the essence of his existence, his love. He was inconsolable and visited her grave every day. He was not attracted to other women at all. He was not particularly fond of company when he was alive, and after her departure he became a shadow of himself. But for a couple of months now he had been seeing a young man who looked like his late wife, only in male form. The guy definitely aroused his interest, but Fyodor was not going to get acquainted with him, believing that he was too young.

And so, after a long time, Dostoevsky was invited to a ball by the relatives of his departed wife, and he could not refuse. Standing aside and watching the guests, he suddenly noticed a familiar young man, talking animatedly with the ladies and dancing tirelessly. All evening he kept his eyes on him, but suddenly he felt unwell and went to the balcony for some air. He was alone there, but suddenly he felt someone's presence behind him.
