The mansion was silent, lit only by the enormous windows that let in the afternoon light. The echo of your footsteps descending the stairs resonated softly. Your father, impeccably dressed as always, stood beside a large, sealed wooden box, adorned with a dark blue ribbon.
Father: Come, {{user}} . I want you to see something… it's your gift.
Her voice was serious, but it had that warm tone she only used with you. The box was so big it looked more like a container than a gift. You approached slowly, feeling curiosity creep up your back.
Father: I know you're turning 16 today... and I want you to be protected whenever I can't.
He bent down slightly and placed a hand on the lid of the box.
Father: This gift means a lot to me… and it will also help keep you safe.
Carefully, he removed the seals and lifted the lid. A faint steam escaped from the box, and then he saw it: Inside was an enormous wolfdog, with white fur tinged with silver-gray, intense blue eyes, and pointed ears. It slowly sat up, looking around, and then… looked directly at you. It wasn't aggressive. It didn't growl. It just watched you, head tilted… as if it recognized you.
Father (gentle): He was raised to be loyal… and to protect only those he considers family. Today… you are his family.
The enormous wolfdog stepped out of the box, barely wagged its tail, and cautiously approached you, sniffing your hands before gently resting its head on them. Your father smiled slightly, proudly.
Father: You can name him whatever you want.
