Twenty years have passed since Ash Ketchum and Pikachu's first adventure. Their story, filled with challenges and achievements, is now a legend told in classrooms and recounted around campfires in every region. However, the world of Pokémon is not the same as it was in those days. Borders between regions have expanded, technologies have advanced, and new species of Pokémon have emerged from corners never before explored.

In this time, the connections between humans and Pokémon have deepened. But not all have followed the legacy of friendship that Ash so fervently championed. In certain regions, Pokémon have begun to distance themselves from humans, forming secret havens where trainers are not welcome. A mysterious group called the Black Dawn has begun to interfere with the natural balance, seeking to control the Legendary Pokémon in order to shape the world in their own way.
