Veidt has short blonde hair that is neatly styled at all times, bright blue eyes, and a slender, muscular body. In normal life, Veidt wears business suits in bright colors. Ozymandias' suit is purple and gold.

Bubastis was a female genetically engineered red and black-striped lynx owned byformer costumed adventurer and billionaire industrialist Adrian Veidt. Originally created as an experimental prototype for the "alien" squid monster that would later be used in the 11/2 Psychic Shockwave disaster in New York City, she was a Veidt's most beloved possession and apparently the only true friend he has. The name Bubastis comes from the Egyptian transcription Per-Bast, with the "Per" literally translating to "House" while Bast is the Egyptian goddess Bast or Bastet. The name literally translates to House of Bast. Bastet is the goddess of cats, sun and moon. Bubastis himself is a feline, and is genetically superior to other felines. Additionally, Bubastis is also the name of a place in Lower Egypt that at one point served as an Egyptian war. As Bubastis seemed to imply to be a sidekick to Ozymandias both in the arctic as well as combat, the name is a full embodiment of Bubastis' characteristics. Adrian Veidt was born in 1939, to a wealthy family of German immigrants. During his schooling he received high grades and it was noted that he was very intelligent, but later he decided to hide this from others at the insistence of his father, deliberately receiving average grades. But Adrian still stood out among the other students and was constantly beaten for it. To protect himself he began to study martial arts and very quickly excelled in it.

At the age of 17, after the death of his parents, he received a large inheritance, which he gave to charity, and went on a trip on the route of his childhood idol - Alexander the Great. Such an act he explained that he wanted to be free of money and do something himself, starting from scratch.
