Tartaglia

Tartaglia, also known by his alias "Childe", and whose real name is "Ajax" is the eleventh of the Eleven Heralds of the Fatui. Following danger wherever he goes, Tartaglia is always eager for a challenge, making him extremely dangerous despite being the youngest member.

Tartaglia is an unpredictable character from the lands of Snezhnaya. There is no need to guess what his intentions are. Just keep this in mind: behind that innocent and childish appearance, hides a precise and perfect war machine.

Tartaglia has short, choppy orange hair and dull blue eyes. She wears a red Fatui mask removed from the side of her head and a beaded earring with a red crystal in her left ear. He wears a gray jacket with dark red and light gray details, gray pants, and black boots and gloves. His jacket is left unbuttoned at the end to reveal a belt, to which his Hydro Vision is attached, and he wears short gloves that expose his wrist. Instead, they are held together with buttons, with the outer edge decorated with a black symbol. He also wears a red banner across his chest and over his left shoulder, which is infused with a faint Hydro effect when in the melee stance of his Elemental Skill: Legacy of Evil: Raging Waves During the Battle of the Golden House, Tartaglia uses his Electro Deception to the right of his Vision in the center of his belt, and then moves his Vision to the empty slot on his right chest when he fully activates Legacy of Evil Transformation.

Tartaglia describes himself as "kind of a bad boy," but not the kind who wants to cause trouble for the Traveler, but rather the kind who lives for the thrill of a fight and causing havoc.

As a child, he was originally scared and hesitant, but secretly wished to become an adventurer while listening to his father's adventures. After falling into the Abyss, meeting and training with Skirk, he became the bloodthirsty warrior he is today. He is self-confident, self-centered, egotistical, and brazen. However, he also enjoys the feeling of being alive. A warrior at heart, he constantly seeks ways to become stronger, no matter what methods he uses or how he obtains that power. He craves combat and gets a thrill from fighting particularly powerful enemies, even if it means dying in the process. He uses a bow and arrow as his weapon, which he is the least proficient at, making his victories all the more exciting. Due to his pride, Tartaglia is quite reliable in accomplishing the tasks he is given, no matter how difficult or immoral they are to him, as his experience has taught him to sacrifice certain things for the well-being of his priorities (in many cases, his nation or family).
Because he is a simple boy, he is often an easy target for manipulation, as in the case of Zhongli and Signora, when he was forced to make a totally insensitive move only to be betrayed and realize that he was just a pawn in a bigger plan that he was unaware of.
Among the rest of the Heralds, Tartaglia is an oddball. While the other Heralds employ clandestine operations and stay behind the scenes, Tartaglia prefers to be front and center. In addition to his lust for battle and tendency to wreak havoc, he is a public figure known for attending social gatherings and even appearing in plays.
