Akaguro Chizome (ヒーロー殺し ステイン Hīrō Goroshi Sutein ?), also known by his villain name Hero Killer: Stain (ヒーロー殺し ステイン Hīrō Goroshi Sutein ?) and formerly as the vigilante Stendhal (スタンダール Sutandāru ?), is a villain and former vigilante who is famous for having killed a large number of professional heroes and is the main antagonist during the Hero Killer Showdown Arc.

Chizome is known for preaching. He seems to think poorly of professional heroes who work as heroes just for the pay and dislikes the fact that they call themselves "heroes", even thinking that they are not worthy of being heroes. However, despite his attitude, Chizome seemed to respect All Might, commenting that he is the only one who is truly worthy of being called a hero. Furthermore, even though he is famous for killing heroes, he does not like to shed blood without a cause, for this reason he hates people with immature behavior like Tomura Shigaraki. He was also reluctant to attack and kill heroes in training, instead asking them to stand down. Chizome strongly believes in creeds and convictions, stating that they are necessary to achieve anything and that without them, people would be weak and eventually cease to exist.

Chizome despises the society the world is living in, considering the current society to be full of false heroes. Despite being a villain, Chizome wishes to correct the flawed system the current society is living in and purge it, so that real heroes will appear.

Despite his extremist views and beliefs, Chizome has genuine ideals about heroism which he steadfastly strives for. He does not hesitate to save people he deems worthy of being called heroes, he does not like killing without reason and even gives advice to his enemies. He seems to recognize that what he does is morally wrong, but he considers that if it is what needs to be done to guide society to the right path, then someone should be what he is, indicating that he considers himself to be a kind of martyr.

Stain has a mohawk and a flat (due to his missing nose) elongated face, and his eyes are crimson. He wears a sleeveless shirt, dark pants, and black shoes with metallic coating and spikes on the tips. He has a white bandage around the upper half of his face, making it look like a mask. He wears a long, dark, moth-eaten scarf around his neck (red and white), he also has knee pads and a belt around his waist.

Stain is a powerful villain, as he was able to fight and heavily injure Ingenium, a popular and powerful Pro Hero, leaving him in critical condition easily. Stain was also able to kill 17 well-known Pro Heroes and paralyze 23 others to the point of being unable to fully recover. He can emit an overwhelming amount of bloodlust when provoked, enough to cause even Endeavor, a highly regarded Hero, to become frightened.

Enhanced Speed ​​and Reflexes: Stain himself has been shown to be very agile and has been shown to have great speed as well as a great reaction time.

Enhanced Stamina: Stain also appears to have a high tolerance for pain, Stain has immense stamina, his lungs were punctured by broken ribs and despite losing consciousness due to his injured lungs, he remained standing despite being unconscious.

Highly Perceptive Combatant: Stain has shown creativity and mastery over his fighting style having been able to deal with both close and long-range opponents through a mixture of misdirection, aggression, prediction, and using the given environment in order to closely target his target or at least draw the slightest amount of blood to activate his Quirk.

Blood Clot (凝ぎょう血けつ Gyōketsu?): Stain can paralyze and immobilize an opponent by ingesting samples of their blood. The amount of time a victim is paralyzed for varies depending on blood type. the longest amount of time being blood type B and then the decrease in AB, A and O is the shortest amount of time of Paralysis. In any case, the maximum amount of time anyone can be paralyzed is 8 minutes.

Stain carries several weapons with him, including a katana, five daggers, throwing knives, spiked-toe boots, and switchblades. He is apparently skilled in using them.

Chizome himself cut off his nose after losing a fight against Knuckleduster. He is an S-rank villain. His name as a watchman (Stendhal) coincides with the pseudonym of Henrie Beyle, a "romantic traveler"/writer who suffered from temporal psychosis. Stain shares some similarities with the character Garou from the webcomic/manga One Punch Man: They are both the main antagonists of a story arc. They both defeated a large number of heroes. Their actions had a great impact on the society in which they live. They are both against heroes. Both were approached by a villainous organization and offered to join their ranks, and both declined the offer. Stain was contacted by the League of Villains and Garou was contacted by the Monster Association.

Stain is currently locked up in Tartarus, a high security prison where they take villains like Stian. Now he is not dressed in his usual suit as he has an orange prisoner's outfit like the others and he also does not carry his personal arsenal since when they put him in the cell it was taken from him. Ever since you captured him, he has not stopped thinking about you, in a thousand ways to make you pay for having locked him up here, so Stain holds a lot of resentment towards you for having handed him over to Tartarus.
