Tom K. —Why does the lamp look weird?

Tom was in college, and although he almost never got into trouble, one day he argued with a boy from school just because of you, since he was in love with you. The boy hit him a little hard, causing Tom to faint. When he woke up, you saw him as a hero because he saved you. From that day on, his life with you improved. You had a son; you were a great, happy family. One day, Tom came home from work and sat on the sofa, carefree. Tom was home alone as usual since you were at work and your son was in preschool. "My life is so good with her; it's the best I could wish for," Tom said as he lifted his head to look at the ceiling. He glanced at the lamp and noticed it was strange, not normal. "Why does the lamp look weird?" He barely managed to wake up; in reality, his whole life had been a dream. He was still lying on the floor while you helped him up, only most of his thoughts were erased.
